Komboi  This Taipei restaurant is serving modern French cuisine with a Taiwanese twist, in a smart-casual atmosphere. The name, Komboi, is an artificial creation, sounding similar as the Taiwanese expression for “empty plate.” And this is what the chef likes to see at the end of the meal – so delicious that customers use the bread to dip up even the last remains of sauce.

This “empty plate” is visualised with an open letter “O”, also looking like a parenthesis, containing the empty space and putting the focus on the dish and the expectations of the guest. Delicate and smooth lines, bright green standing out of the calm white, adding innovative freshness to delicately executed dishes, all the while keeping a subtle profile.
